Sustainable banking is a business strategy that balances economic, social and environmental issues in business. It integrates social and environmental considerations in lending and refers to a decision by banks to provide products and services to customers who take into account socio-environmental factors as a way of ensuring the adoption of sustainability principles across the financial sector.
With this in mind and as part of its Business and Sustainability agenda, the CEO Roundtable (CEOrt) is pleased to work in partnership with IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) to launch the development of guiding principles for sustainable finance in Tanzania.
