David Tarimo

Country Senior Partner

David is Country Senior Partner of PwC Tanzania, a position he has held since July 2014.

An LLB Honours graduate from Kings College, London University, David’s professional career started in the UK, where he worked for 10 years and qualified as a chartered accountant and a chartered tax adviser. He has been with PwC Tanzania since October 1995 holding various roles including tax leadership roles both in-country and regional.

He has advised many of the major companies operating in Tanzania, spanning a broad range of economic sectors. He has also had significant involvement in national discussions on tax policy matters (including interactions with the Ministry of Finance, Tanzania Revenue Authority, National Board of Accountants and Auditors and various private sector bodies).

Since October 2017 David has been a member of the Board of the CEO Roundtable of Tanzania, and with effect from June 2022 became Chairman.
