Country Representative
Moke Nyambita Magoma
Moke oversees EngenderHealth’s diverse portfolio in Tanzania, which includes family planning and sexual and reproductive health, comprehensive abortion care, and HIV and AIDS prevention and care programs. He has more than 20 years of experience in leadership, management, and service delivery of reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health programs, including family planning, in Tanzania. He has worked for several international organizations in the country such as PEPFAR, OPTIONS UK and GIZ. He was recruited as the SuFP programme country Director in 2019 and promoted early this year to become EngenderHealth Country Representative. He is a reviewer for several international peer reviewed journals in his field and currently serves as an assistant editor to the journal of Pregnancy and Childbirth. Moke earned a doctorate of medicine degree from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, a Masters of medicine degree in obstetrics and gynecology from Makerere University, Kampala Uganda and a doctor of philosophy in epidemiology and population health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, UK. He is married with three children.
