Launch of CAP Cohort 2

After months of extensive planning and with the incredible support of leaders from Government, the Private Sector and Development Partners who have backed this important nation-building leadership programme since inception, we officially launched the second cohort of the CEO Apprenticeship Programme. Our thanks also go to our Guest of Honour, Deputy Minister PO-PSM, Honorable. Deogratius Ndejembi and guest speakers at the event Ms. Ruth Zaipuna, CEO-NMB Bank, Dr. George Njenga, Dean – SBS and CAP Cohort 1 alumni, Mr. Unguu Sulay, Managing Director – Coca-Cola Kwanza. Check out photos from the launch ceremony here.

The programme targets Tanzanian executives with a career path towards becoming CEOs and trains, coaches and mentors them in preparation of their becoming exceptional organizational leaders, and has already seen much success with its first cohort. Three of the Cohort 1 alumni have been promoted to CEO positions, with an additional two alumni being promoted into more senior leadership roles. Furthermore, several of the socio-economic impact projects that stemmed from the programme continue to thrive.

Participants in the second cohort come from a range of industries and are sponsored by Songas Limited, National Bank of Commerce (NBC), Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), Kioo Limited, Primefuels Tanzania, Multichoice Tanzania, Reni International, CRDB Bank, Chemi Cotex, Stanbic Bank, NMB Bank, Spedag Interfreight, Empower Limited, and Management & Development Health. And although we are only a month into the relaunch, applications and sponsorships for Cohort 3 set to kick off in January 2022 are already underway.
