Burak is a seasoned Turkish entrepreneur who has called Tanzania home since 2010. His journey in the corporate world began in 2006 when he joined a major corporation in Antalya, holding various middle and upper management positions over a span of seven years. His professional experience spans across Turkey, the Middle East, Northern Africa, and Europe. In 2010, he transitioned to Tanzania to lead one of the largest Turkish investment groups in the country, a role he fulfilled until the end of 2015. During this tenure, he oversaw operations primarily in mining, metallic minerals trading, as well as the food packaging and cosmetics manufacturing industries, both in Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

With a wealth of experience across diverse global business sectors, especially in Africa, Burak shifted his focus in late 2015 to the burgeoning service industries in Tanzania. He pinpointed opportunities in sectors such as tourism, consultancy, restaurants, medical services, education, security, and private equity investments. This led to the founding of SkyPalm Travel & Tours Ltd. in 2015, the establishment of SkyWorks Trading & Consultancy Ltd., and the co-founding of Pasha Food & Beverage Ltd. in 2016. The year 2018 saw the inception of MLPCARE Tanzania and the introduction of the Sultan Academics brand. 2019 marked the launch of the Maasai Watchers brand, followed by the establishment of Uplifting Security Limited in 2020. That same year, he also introduced the Fandom Cars brand and took over the Sparkling Boat brand and its operations. Additionally, he co-founded Roundtable Design & Works Ltd. in 2020, established the Tanzania Türkiye Business Forum (TTBF), and co-founded the Agama Furniture brands in 2022. In 2023, he founded SkyWorks Insurance, Lady Askari, and Lion Shield brands. In 2024, he established AFRICAPITAL Investment Holdings Limited, focusing on the private equity sector by connecting lucrative Tanzanian investment opportunities with global investors, aiming to foster growth and recognition for both the people and various sectors in Tanzania.
