Unguu has over 15 years of work experience, 11 of which leading the strategy & financial operations of renowned corporates.

He also served at different times as a board member for Dar Es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) where he also chaired the board audit committee & Association of Tobacco Traders (T) Limited (ATTT). He is a team player and a leader with extensive experience in leading dynamic teams. A proven history of implementing successful strategies including strong knowledge of operations and human resources.

He gained his experience by working with Tanzania Cigarette Public Company Limited (A subsidiary of Japan Tobacco International, listed in Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE)) for about 7 years in different capacities in the Finance department, Tanga Cement Public Listed Company (By then subsidiary of Holcim Cement, trading in Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange) for 3 years as Financial Controller, Alliance One Tobacco (T) Limited (A subsidiary of Alliance One Incorporation, trading in New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)) for more than a year as Finance Director and currently (5th year now) working with Plasco Limited, a private company operating in Tanzania as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary.
