Ms. Helena C. Mzena is the Chief Executive Officer of Jubilee Life Insurance Corporation of Tanzania Limited,
She Joined Jubilee Insurance in 2011 and has held various senior management positions in both the Jubilee Insurance Company of Tanzania Limited and Jubilee Life Insurance Corporation of Tanzania Limited. Before being appointed as the CEO on 28thof April 2021, she served as the Chief Financial Officer at Jubilee Life Insurance Corporation of Tanzania Limited.
Ms. Mzena is a highly experienced professional with an extensive background in strategy and leadership, she has about 10 years of experience in the insurance industry. She previously worked in various Industry in Tanzania and UK. She worked for Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL), Tanzania, NTT Europe Ltd, UK as well as the UK local authority.
At Jubilee Life Insurance, she has been instrumental in Leadership, Strategy and Business Development, Finance and budgeting, Risk Management, Compliance and Controls and strengthening the Company’s Governance structures.
A seasoned professional, Ms. Mzena’s holds a master’s degree in financial management from Liverpool John Moore University, UK and a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Financial Information Systems from the University of Greenwich, UK. She also holds an International Postgraduate Diploma in Life Insurance from the Institute of Insurance and Risk Management (IIRM), a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) UK, she is a fellow member of ACCA, a member of ACPA – Tanzania, she also holds Senior Management Leadership Certificate from Strathmore University Business School and a certified Female Future Leadership program with ATE/ESAMI University Business School.
