Dr. David Sando

Chief Executive Officer

Having worked as both a physician and a public health specialist, Dr. David Sando has extensive experience in development and management of public health programs. He has wealth of experience in running facility and community-based health system interventions targeting various public health priorities. These include HIV prevention, care and treatment programs, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent health services, diagnostic and supply chain system, strengthening health system for COVID-19 pandemic national response, and implementation science projects. Dr. David Sando has more than 17 years of experience in senior leadership and scientist roles, both locally and internationally. Currently he is the Chief executive Officer of Management and Development for Health (MDH), a non-governmental Organization working in collaboration with Ministry of Health to support Public Health initiatives for the wellbeing of Tanzanians.

Dr. Sando holds a Medical degree from Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences, two Master’s degree (MSc. In Epidemiology and MSc. Monitoring and Evaluation of Programs) and PhD in Global health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He has contributed to at least 30 peer review Publications.
